Go to “Dashboard” and then click “Billings & Certificate”.

Go to “Dashboard”, click “Account” and go to “Profile” to edit your personal information.

Trademark Search Procedure

Although it is not compulsory to conduct a trademark search it is highly advisable to do so. By performing a trademark search, the report will reveal any identical or similar marks in the record and will ascertain the chances of registering your intended trademark. In most countries countries, trademark registration applications are is based on the come first-served basis where registrations or applications will bloc later application from registering the same trademark.

  1.  You will need to go to the “Service” page, choose “Trademark Search” and click “Order Now”.
  2.  Choose the country that you wish to perform the search and please take note that each purchase is only limited to one (1) country as the prices vary accordingly. However, you may choose multiple classes under the same country in one purchase.
  3.  Upload a clear image with the size not more than 1MB and elaborate the elements in your mark to ensure our teams are able to conduct the search accurately.
  4.  For example:

  5.  Upon completion of the above, you can proceed to the payment gateway or save what you have done as draft and continue later on.
  6.  To retrieve the draft, you will need to go to “Dashboard” and click “Cart”. You can update the information and make the payment whenever you are ready.
  7.  The payment gateway will accept Visa / Master Card and PayPal.
  8.  Search report will be ready within three (3) to five (5) working days after receiving your payment.
  9. You are required to download your search report by logging into your “Dashboard” and clicking “Trademark Search”.
 

Follow this link and insert the goods/services that you intend to file and a list of possible classes will be shown. Please take note that for certain goods and services inserted, it might appear in several Classes due to the dissimilar materials used or fields of services.   5.  Fill up the applicant’s details and download the Statutory Declaration to be signed and affirmed by Notary Public in your country.
    Note: Statutory Declaration is only required in certain countries and not all.
  6.  Choose the class and goods/service that you wish to protect. If you are uncertain with the Classes and goods/services that you should select, kindly drop us an email at our “Contact Us” page.
  7.  Upon completion of the above, kindly proceed to the payment gateway or save what you have done as draft and continue later on.
  8.  To retrieve the draft, you will need to go to “Dashboard” and click “Cart”. You can update the information and make the payment whenever you are ready.
  9.  The payment gateway will accept Visa / Master Card and PayPal.
  10.  You will receive an email notification within 4 working days after receiving your payment to download your filing report.

You can file as many Classes as you wish for a single trademark. Single filing is the common practice in most countries; one (1) filing number will be assigned to represent the trademark you have filed. Multiple filings are allowed in certain countries only, whereby you will only receive one (1) filing number for all the Classes you have filed.

You will need to login to your “Dashboard” and upload the Statutory Declaration by managing your pending filing.

The filing report and relevant documents will be uploaded within four (4) working days after we receive them.

  1. Upon receiving the Acceptance Report, we are required to respond and therefore your confirmation of the Acceptance is important.
  2. Besides your confirmation, you are also required to make payment via the payment gateway of the Publication Fee within five (5) working days before the given deadline.
  3. You may login to your “Dashboard”, click the option of “Purchase New” and choose “Acceptance Report” to make the payment.

Note: Failure making any payment for the Publication Fee in good time will result in a penalty fee imposed by the Registry Office and/or abandonment of the application.

The Registry Office will raise an OA to your application if it did not meet the requirements. You may reply to Registrar’s OA by filing a certain action within the prescribed time.

Please note that IPon9 is a portal handling smooth registration only. Upon receiving OA from respective trade mark office, IPon9 shall recommend its panel IP advisor for prosecution work to communicate with the applicant to pursue the same.

Alternatively, the applicant may choose to handle the OA on your own effort or appoint other trade mark attorney to take over the matter.

Generally, a trademark will be published in the Government Gazette for a period of two(2) months for any third party to file an opposition. If there is no Opposition raised within the two (2) months, the Registry Office will thereafter issue the certificate of registration.

You may choose to reply to the Opponent directly by way of filing the Counter Statement within the stipulated time. However, since iPon9 only provides services for registrations, iPon9 shall refer you to the recommended TM attorney in due course.

Yes, you may file an amendment to amend your address or trade mark with a prescribed fee (subject to approval) after filing of application.

Yes. You may assign/transfer the trademark during the pendency of the application or after registration. However, the assignment will only take effect upon the registration of the application.

Trademark Renewal Procedure

Renewal must be submitted 14 working days before the expired date of the trademark.

Once you receive a reminder letter of your trademark, it shows that your trademark is expiring soon and an action to renew your trade mark is required before it lapsed.

  1. Login to your “Dashboard” and click the “Renewals” under “Purchase New” option.
  2. Choose the trademark that you wish to renew and proceed to payment or save what you have done as draft and continue later on.
  3. To retrieve the draft, you will need to go to “Dashboard” and click “Cart”. You can update the information and make the payment whenever you are ready.
  4. Renewal filing will be performed once receiving your payment and our filing report will be forwarded to you within four (4) working days.

iPon9 is able to assist in renewing your other trademarks which are not under our existing record. In order to renew your trademark, you are required to:-

  1. Go to the “Services” page, choose “Trademark Renewal” and click “Order Now”.
  2. Click the “Add Filing” and fill in the filing number, expiry date, the Class and then proceed to payment or save what you have done as draft and continue later on.
  3. To retrieve the draft, you will need to go to “Dashboard” and click “Cart”. You can update the information and make the payment whenever you are ready.
  4. We will proceed with the filing after receiving your payment and our filing report will be ready within four (4) working days.
